And Our Next Great Adventure Begins!

Well, it certainly has been a while since I wrote anything here, and a lot has happened. As I mentioned in my last post, we had decided to find a base home AND WE HAVE!!  After spending the past six - seven months floating around North Carolina, we have bought a home in Cleveland!!

Found a perfect 3 bedroom home on almost an acre of land. Lots of room for gardens!! Big beautiful trees bringing great shade to the backyard, a great big deck with a gazebo structure so we can still enjoy the outdoors even if rainy and again shade. And here in Cleveland one needs shade. Oh by the way, that is Cleveland, NC not Ohio, LOL.

There are several sheds on site, one open and two with doors, We have thoughts for the largest one so may be more about that at another time. This place is great. The previous owner had started his garden before moving by planting a couple tomato plants and a bunch of radish. Our neighbors had been given a number of tomato plants so they planted the extra in our garden right before we moved in. And one of my dear nieces gifted us with tomato plants, LOL SO lots and lots of tomatoes. Let's hear it for canning sauce!! Picked about 3 pounds of Cherry Tomatoes already and there is a ton more.
My niece also gave us several Marigolds, and Dill plants, as well as Cucumber and Bush Bean seeds. Which are all coming up nicely.

Was able to pull enough radishes one day to make some Pickled Radishes, oh yum!

Paul's brother Dave, is living with us, my oldest sister, Marv, and her two daughters with their families live within a half hour, so have good people already here. The neighbors we have met have been so nice, hopefully at least a couple of them can become real friends.

And while we sold Dexter, we still plan to get a smaller unit and continue our camping adventures, might be a while with things the way they are, but we will be back on the road one day.

In the mean time we have so many plans for the yard including the developing herb garden (of Course), turning a large area of the side yard into a meadow of wildflowers, developing seating areas here and there, and the list goes on. I do hope you all continue to follow us on yet another journey. And, please, if you happened to find yourself in the area Do come for a visit!

As I close today, once again we ask What Are We Crazy?!?!?!  Yes, we are and love it all!!

Be Well All.
TA!

Photos to follow at some point!!

Happy New Year!! New Plans as the new one begins...

And a new year begins, Welcome 2022. Once again I have to thank all of you for coming along on this crazy journey Paul and I call our life. What a ride it has been. In the past 2 and a half years we have spent time in 35 states, several a couple of times; were able to visit 15 National Parks as well as many other National Historic Sites and National Wildllife Refuges, a couple of dozen state and community parks, hiked miles and miles of trails. At each and every one there were so many moments of breathtaking beauty. Got to visit family, friends and make many new ones along the way. How so very gifted we have been.

There were trials and tribulations, detour of plans, crazy weather, a pandemic, and well all the usual things life tends to throw at one. I wouldn't have traded a moment of it away. I am forever grateful to life and Paul for helping to make this crazy dream of mine come true. And though it is changing, we continue ever onward to the next crazy thing.

We have made the decision to find a base, somewhere to call home. Having been free birds all this time we once again want a nest. After careful consideration of the many places in which to settle, we have decided North Carolina could fit well. January 7, we will move into a temporary place which we secured for 6 months as we look around and make the decision and find the right place for us.

We are not giving up traveling, that is to deeply ingrained in my blood, but will just be changing the way we do so. Taking short trips here and there, for a week or so and for a couple of months from time to time. Whatever, whenever, where ever the wind blows us, there are so many more places we wish to see.

Feel free to continue on this journey with us, we so welcome you. And, please, let us know where life is leading you.

My camera and computer aren't talking to each other so until I figure that out, no photos.
