RV Show

Paul and I went to the NJ RV and Camping Show in Edison yesterday. Had a lot of fun doing some fact finding and dreaming. We have been to quite a few over the years and each time we go it is with different eyes. The first couple were without any thought to what we would want. Just went and looked at all the different types, big ones, small ones, Class A to popups, what ever caught our fancy.
We still like to check out what's out there but we spend more time fine tuning what we really want.  This show is one of the smaller exhibits, even with that there were 24 makes, 38 models of Travel Trailers, 16 Class A, 16 5th Wheelers, 11 Class C, and 6 Class B. That's a whole load of rigs to explore! For those who aren't familiar with the different types of RVs here's a quick run down of each type. Class A are the big bus style, 5th Wheelers are the big travel trailers with the hitch in the back of a pickup truck, Pickup Campers go right on the truck, Class B are camping vans, travel trailers hitch to the back of a vehicle and get pulled along, and with the Class C (which is what we a leaning towards) the RV is built right onto a truck chassis. The closer we get to being able to buy one the more aspects of each we look at.

If I could buy one right now this would be my choice!

Next month is the Atlantic City RV Show which is a bit bigger and in September there is the one at Hershey, Pa billed as America's Largest. We have been to both of these in the past and are planning to go again this year. We are considering going to the SuperShow in Tampa, Fla next winter, we'll see.
Besides the rigs, there are many different vendors hawking campgrounds, camping supplies, and odd things to be at these shows such as Gutter Helmet, Food Distributors, and other stuff.

And boy do you get a workout going to these things, walking for miles and up and down steps in and out of each rig. Phew, If I had a fitbit there would have been buzzers and lights going off. LOL

Well, it certainly has been a while since I wrote anything here, and a lot has happened. As I mentioned in my last post, we had decided to ...
